Just be sure to make backup copies of the original files incase you change your mind or overdo something. Honestly, just dig through the files and experiment, and not just in the rwgmixer.xml but all the files, almost everything is changeable like this. You can edit the values separately for Small, Medium, and Large map sizes as well. It doubles the amount of max cities per map, and the smallest towns on my map are 25% larger than the largest default cities. I would especially appreciate good seeds that use these settings and meet these criteria. Ideally we want at least 3-4 good cities in the pine forest and at least 2-3 good cities in each of the other biomes. In the cities there are book stores, gas stations, sham markets, police stations, and so on. Bears can pop up on those savannah patches, so you can get animal fat from there. When you hear an animal scream nearby, just check the nearby cactuses for food and hide. You won't need to hunt for skin and meat. There are a couple of "desert forests" (dead trees) at several locations, a bunch of oasis', and camps, barns, water towers, etc. There are a couple of patches of savannah here and there, which you can find cotton and stuff at. From the starting point, there's one huge city to the east, one large town to the south, one middle-sized city to the west, and nothing at all to the north. But just desert might be a bit too much? No wasteland either? So no big cities? Now I love the desert and I usually build my Base there. No forest, no snowy mountains only desert.
